Module 7 Unit 2 She couldnt see or hear                               

一、 教材分析:

本课是外研版新标准英语三年级起点第八册第七模块第二单元 She couldnt see or hear. 本课是对could couldnt 练习,这一单元主要复习用couldnt couldnt 描述某个人的能力,并通过Helen Keller 坚强不息的精神去教育世人。

二、 教学目标:

知识目标;

1. 学习并能识别词汇born, became, letter, spell, role model.

2. 要求学生能够理解并掌握句型I could , I couldnt以及在表达人能力方面的运用。

能力目标:

1. 能口头运用She couldnt see or hear.

2. 通过学习可以根据图片讲述海伦凯勒的事迹,进一步写写自己心中值得学习的人的事迹。

情感目标:

通过学习培养学生乐于模仿,敢于开口的良好习惯。让他们在学习的过程中了解一些外国的文化,增强祖国意识。

三、 教学重难点:

重点:

1. 学习词汇born, became, letter, spell, role model

2. 运用句型She couldnt see or hear . She could read, write and speak.

难点:

1. 在日常生活中能熟练运用一般过去时态。

2. 能用一般过去式谈论某人过去的能力。

教学过程

Step1 warming up

   1. Greetings

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

   Ss: Good morning, Mrs Shi.

T: How are you?

   Ss: Im fine. And you?

   T: Im fine, too.

2. Play a game: Do as I say.

T: say phrases. Ss: do actions

play basketball/ football   run fast    listen to music

swim  ride a bike  

T: Can you play football?

Ss: Yes, I can. / No, I cant.

设计意图:热身打招呼,师生互动,利用游戏活跃课堂气氛,师生问答复习旧知,唤起学生对can, cant的记忆,为新知坐铺垫。

Step2.presentation

1. new words

T: I was born in Ningxia.(引出be born in)

Ss: born, born, be born in (read it one by one)

T: Nine years ago, I became an English teacher.(板书并教授)

Becomebecame(学生拼读)

Ss:high voice and low voice.

T: can you spell?

S: Yes.

T: Yang liwei is very famous all over the world.

Ss:  boys read and girl read

T: He is a role model for people.

S: role model

2. text learning

T: Look at the picture and the sentences, guess: Who is she?

S: Helen Keller.

T: present the instruction of Helen Keller.

设计意图:学生初步了解海伦凯勒的基本信息

Listen and circle the words of past tense

Was  became  drew  taught  learnt  wrote  travelled

Listen and underline the sentences of could couldnt

Listen and find the questions:

a. When was Helen Keller born?

b. Where was she born?

c. What couldnt she do?

d. What did she learn?

Slisten and find ,then answer.

Listen and number

S: listen, look and number

Read and match

Read after T

Read the text loudly by themselves

设计意图:听音跟读,模仿语音语调,给图片排序,进一步巩固学生对课文的理解,并为复述课文坐铺垫。

Step3 practice

1. Look at the pictures and make the sentences

E.g He cant see.

2. Guessing game: What could/couldnt he/she do?

Show pictures slowly

T: What could he do?

Ss: He could write

T: What couldnt he do?

Ss: He couldnt walk

T: What could she do

Ss: She could sing.

T: What couldnt she do

Ss: She couldnt swim.

3.Look at the pictures and retell story of Helen Keller.

设计意图:通过复述课文,检查学生对文本的理解情况,使学生能够借助图片完成语言输出,解决本节课重点

4. Lets sing:

Helen Keller, Helen Keller

couldnt see, couldnt hear.

She learnt to read and write.

She wrote many books,

A role model for us, a role model for us.

Homework

1. Make a poster for Helen Keller.

2. Try to retell the story of Helen to your parents or friends.
